KidMail.netIf you have children and if they are computer literate at an early age, you have probably been asked “When can I get an email address?” With a household of five children, two teens that have demonstrated restraint in using their email, I have two pre-teens that wanted to write to their friends. It was hard to keep saying no!

Then I found out about KIDMAIL.NET - a really kid-friendly and parent-friendly email service where parents can actually pre-read and APPROVE the emails that go to their children. AND pre-read and APPROVE any emails being sent by their children. It truly seems to be a system meant to protect children!

From their website: KidMail.net allows parents to define high levels of trust for family members and friends. Messages from unknown senders are analyzed for spam content and automatically stored for parental review.

We have used it now for about six months (we got a free year to start) and will continue to use and pay for this service when our free period is over. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Visit their website.

My Heart Goes Out to the Kelsey Smith Family

My heart and prayers go out to the Kelsey Smith family. Kelsey Smith was an 18 year old young lady who was abducted from a shopping center parking lot over this past weekend. She was found dead yesterday about 20 miles from where she was taken.

Thankfully, they have arrested the person they believe responsible for this murder. I can’t even imagine the pain of losing a child, much less violently. When will people realize that 1) society no longer views human life as valuable and important, and 2) our justice system stinks! If this man is found guilty, he should forfeit his own life for the one he took!

You can read the whole sad story here.

May God be with this family and comfort them with His peace!

I’m Excited!

I’m getting a new refrigerator today! For the first time since we’ve been married, I’ll have a new refrig. And I’m excited!

I remember when we got a new refrigerator as a child and how excited everyone was. It’s like having Christmas in the middle of the summer!

Hmmm - wonder what I can get excited about next?? :-D
