The other day, someone at a store in our town read that a Methamphetamine lab had been found in an old farmhouse in the adjoining county and he asked me a rhetorical question.

‘Why didn’t we have a drug problem when you and I were growing up?’

I replied, I had a drug problem when I was young: I was drug to church on Sunday morning. I was drug to church for weddings and funerals. I was drug to family reunions and community socials no matter the weather.

The Proverbs 31 Woman - She is YOU!

She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.  She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.  She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. - Proverbs 31:16-18 (NASB)

Working mom with childHow do you picture the Proverbs 31 Woman found in the Bible?  Do you think of a shy, quiet woman, always puttering around the house and tending to the children?  If that is the picture that comes to your mind - then I would suggest you read Proverbs 31 again!

The Proverbs 31 woman had many qualities.  She is frugal, hardworking, and even business minded.  Did you know that while caring for her family, she also bought land, expanded her crops, and got good deals on her goods!

Does this sound familiar?  It should!

The Proverbs 31 woman is YOU as you tend to your family while balancing homeschooling your children, working at home, continuing your education, and more!  She’s YOU when you work your business to please your clients, strive to increase your sales and meet your business goals while serving God with all your heart!

Being a Proverbs 31 woman INCLUDES using your God-given gifts and talents to honor Him and for the benefit of your family.  As you use them, you are honoring Him, and becoming a true vision of the Proverbs 31 woman!
