If you have children and if they are computer literate at an early age, you have probably been asked “When can I get an email address?” With a household of five children, two teens that have demonstrated restraint in using their email, I have two pre-teens that wanted to write to their friends. It was hard to keep saying no!
Then I found out about KIDMAIL.NET - a really kid-friendly and parent-friendly email service where parents can actually pre-read and APPROVE the emails that go to their children. AND pre-read and APPROVE any emails being sent by their children. It truly seems to be a system meant to protect children!
From their website: KidMail.net allows parents to define high levels of trust for family members and friends. Messages from unknown senders are analyzed for spam content and automatically stored for parental review.
We have used it now for about six months (we got a free year to start) and will continue to use and pay for this service when our free period is over. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
