Hurricane Katrina has affected us all, whether you are in the hurricane ravaged areas or not. Living in the North Georgia area, we were affected by the storm with many tornados in our area. So we are dealing with our own devastation too.

Today - I’ve been hearing all kinds of complaints about the lack of response from the US government and FEMA. However, as Christians, WE are the ones called to help the poor and needy. Dare I say it is not the government’s place to HAVE to provide disaster relief? But in today’s society, everyone expects the government to provide for them from the cradle to the grave - instead of the churches putting themselves out for the needy.

OK - Done with my rant.

I’ve listed below organizations that I feel comfortable telling you about. These organizations are mostly Christian in nature and not only provide relief, but offer hope and encourage also through Jesus Christ. If you feel the need to donate money - please consider one of these groups.
