Oh, the joys of life when your car finally dies!

About two weeks ago, my 1990 van finally gave up the ghost. The transmission went! The kids and I were leaving the library, had actually pulled out of the parking space, when the transmission died.

Good thing for cell phones. I called my husband who came and rescued us, and called a tow truck to take the deceased van back to our house. It was time to Freecycle it!

We were able to borrow my in-laws van for two weeks, but had to return it yesterday. So, today is my first day in a long time without a vehicle.

Now, I know that many of you live without a second vehicle and get along fine. In fact, many work-at-home moms do not have a way to get around. However, we live in the Atlanta metro area. Anything we do is a drive from the house. Nothing is within walking distance.

Please pray for us that God will provide a second vehicle this month. In September, when we start homeschooling again, I have two teenagers that will need to get to a couple of classes and we’ll have to have a vehicle to transport them. I know God will provide - He always does - in His time. Hopefully, we’re looking at the same watch!
